Abstract

The present work intends to briefly present the general aspects of the principles guaranteeing the right to human life, more specifically, the right to human dignity and the right to the body, associated with the principles of bioethics and biolaw, in the light of the analysis of the proposal Of implementation and use of the method of chemical castration in those who are caught committing crimes against the physical and sexual integrity of others, when related or driven by pedophilia, which is considered a psychic disease in which the individual can not control their sexual impulses Victimizing children and pre-adolescents. It presents a brief contextualization and historical evolution of the principle of the dignity of the human person and how it became the basis of all the ordination and status existing in the country and in most countries of the world. Afterwards, the concept of the terms bioethics and bio-law and its principles is passed so that, in the course of the work, the verification of compatibility of bioethical principles and bio-law with chemical castration can be made. Subsequently, the concept of the right to the body itself is conceptualized to understand to what extent the individual has autonomy over him or herself and whether this autonomy can be relativized. And finally, the analysis of the said method is made under the approach of the bioethical and constitutional principles in force in the country, as well as the appreciation in the light of the right to the body. It is an attempt to verify the feasibility of the method and to consider the effectiveness and legal aspects of its use.
