| Título: | Percepção dos alunos do curso de odontologia sobre os estágios supervisionados |

| Resumo: | O estágio supervisionado propicia ao aluno uma vivência diferente da realizada na Instituição de Ensino Superior e visa o aprendizado inerente à resolução dos problemas apresentados no cotidiano do atendimento odontológico. O presente estudo tem como objetivo avaliar a percepção dos alunos do curso de Odontologia sobre o estágio supervisionado. Por meio de um estudo descritivo transversal, foi aplicado um questionário para 52 estudantes de Odontologia da Universidade Federal da Paraíba. A análise dos dados foi realizada através da estatística descritiva, com o programa SPSS for Windows 20.0 e incluiu a distribuição de frequência em números absoluto e percentual. Houve prevalência do gênero feminino (76,9%) e de estudantes na faixa etária entre 20 a 30 anos (96,2%). Quando analisados os dados sobre a percepção dos estudantes em relação à satisfação em participar dos estágios supervisionados, 46% responderam parcialmente satisfeitos, e 40% totalmente satisfeitos. Na pergunta sobre a importância do estágio supervisionado na sua formação acadêmica, 81% dos alunos concordaram totalmente que o estágio era importante. Quando questionados sobre a importância dos estágios iniciais, 31% dos estudantes responderam que eram parcialmente importantes, 25% totalmente importantes e 19% não consideraram importante. Sobre a importância dos estágios finais, 77% dos estudantes concordaram totalmente. Quanto ao atendimento odontológico na rede pública, 46% dos pesquisados discordaram em parte desta qualidade e 33% discordaram totalmente. Sobre o interesse dos estudantes em atuar no serviço público, 56% dos alunos possuem um interesse parcial, e 23% possuem total interesse. Ao término do estudo, pode-se afirmar que os estudantes de Odontologia têm satisfação em participar dos estágios supervisionados e percebem a importância desse componente curricular na sua formação acadêmica. A vivência nos estágios finais do curso, considerados mais técnicos, é mais significativa do que nos estágios iniciais, uma vez que são direcionados para a saúde coletiva segundo a percepção dos estudantes. Os discentes consideram que a qualidade no serviço público não é satisfatória; mas, apesar dessa constatação, têm interesse de atuar nesse mercado de trabalho. |
| Abstract: | The supervised internship provides the student with a different experience from that of the Institution of Higher Education, and aims to learn the resolution of the problems presented in the daily routine of dental care. The present study aims to evaluate the perception of the students of the course of Dentistry on the supervised stage. Through a descriptive cross-sectional study, a questionnaire was applied to 52 students of Dentistry of the Federal University of Paraíba. The data analysis was performed through descriptive statistics, with the program SPSS for Windows 20.0, and included the distribution of frequency in absolute and percentage numbers. There was a prevalence of female gender (76.9%) and students aged between 20 and 30 (96.2%). When we analyzed data on the students' perception of satisfaction in participating in the supervised internships, 46% were partially satisfied and 40% fully satisfied. In the question about the importance of the supervised internship in their academic training, 81% of the students fully agreed that the internship was important. When questioned about the importance of the initial stages, 31% of the students answered that they were partially important, 25% totally important and 19% did not consider it important. About the importance of the final stages, 77% of the students agreed totally. Regarding dental care in the public network, 46% of respondents disagreed in part of this quality and 33% disagreed totally. Of the students interest in acting in the public service, 56% of the students have a partial interest, and 23% have total interest. At the end of the study, it can be affirmed that the students of Dentistry are satisfied to participate in the supervised stages and realize the importance of this curricular component in their academic formation. The experience in the final stages of the course, considered more technical, is more significant than in the initial stages, which are directed to collective health according to students' perceptions.
