Atuação do orientador(a) educacional em face à violência sexual de crianças e adolescentes

Abstract

The theme of the research conducted deals with sexual violence against children and adolescents, focusing on the insertion of this criminal problem in the school context, evidencing the importance of the school and the Educational Advisor in coping with and raising the awareness of students and their respective legal guardians in relation to child sexual abuse. Regarding the choice of this theme, it is justified by being a delicate and controversial subject that requires theoretical and legal deepening about the object of research, that is, sexual abuse against children and adolescents, in order to enable reflection on the role of the Educational Advisor. For the purpose of this study, the general objective of the study is to analyze the role of the school, in the context of educational guidance, in relation to the problem involving violence and sexual abuse against children and adolescents. As for the methodology of this Course Completion Work in Pedagogy, at the undergraduate level, it is characterized as a bibliographic and documentary research, of qualitative and descriptive nature. Taking place through a literature review in the databases of the Journal Portal of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes), using the following search descriptors: sexual abuse and school and, from a universe of 624 publications, the final sample consists of five selected articles. The results obtained from the five selected articles show that the inclusion of sexual abuse in the educational orientation is essential, in favor of prevention, identification, reception, coping and legal referral of suspected and/or confirmed cases. It can be concluded that it is of paramount importance that educational guidance acts actively, with ethics and responsibility, in the identification, reception, confrontation and referrals, through actions in schools, of cases involving violence and sexual abuse with students of Basic Education.
