Escola de Ballet e Dança Municipal de Cabedelo: um relato histórico.

Abstract

The Cabedelo Municipal Ballet and Dance School has life stories, since foundation to the present day, thus showing the social importance that the school has in city of Cabedelo. Register the trajectory of the Cabedelo Municipal Ballet and Dance School is the objective of this Undergraduate Thesis (TCC), based on the conviction of the relevance of dance registration in the history of Paraíba. I bring in writing, since the history of Cabedelo as a way to contextualize the scenario in which the institution is introduced, the school's trajectory from the early years to the present year, main events and future perspectives. Following a timeline that begins with the arrival of ballet teaching in Cabedelo in 1988, the school's emergence at the Santa Catarina Theater, the construction of the dance hall in the annex of the Secretariat of Culture and the current location at the Mestre Benedito Cultural Center. The research has qualitative aspects, which was conducted through a documentary survey, based on interviews, personal collections of respondents and the school itself, as well as bibliographies about the city of Cabedelo.
