O bibliotecário enquanto mediador da informação em bibliotecas escolares: um olhar sobre a Ação Cultural

Abstract

The studied research is presented considerations about cultural actions in school libraries, by using the concepts of school library, History and evolution, emphasizing the school librarian as a mediator of information, as well as the school library, its functions and attributions. For the development of this research, some specific objectives were traced: a) to map, on the BRAPCI database, texts that approach the relation between cultural action, school library and the role of the librarian as a mediator in a school library; b) to analyze in the found texts the reflected contents that approach the mentioned relation; c) to describe about how the authors depict the contribution of cultural action for the growth of the school library; d) to identify the practices and tools that were used by the librarian in the realization of the cultural practices used in the libraries mentioned by the analyzed texts. Given this perspective, it is developed a scientific research with the objective of discussing about the importance of cultural action as a mediator librarian practice in school libraries. This way, it is developed a bibliographic and descriptive study with qualitative and quantitative approach, in order to acquire necessary and pertinent information about the studied theme. The necessary data of the research were withdrawn from articles, publications of the BRAPCI website related to school library and cultural action. The sample of the present study was formed by ten articles related to cultural action and school library. The results were reached, once they were identified in the articles practices related to cultural action in school libraries.
