A VERDADEIRA OBSCENIDADE EM LORI LAMBY: AS ALEGORIAS POR ENTRE AS LINHAS DO CADERNO

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the use of the erotic and pornographic elements as allegories in the book "O Caderno Rosa de Lori Lamby" ("Lori Lamby's Pink Notebook"), authored by Hilda Hilst. Published in 1990, the book sparked controversy for presenting heavy sexual content and a highly problematic approach to pedophilia. Despite its pornographic theme, the author sought to analyze the arbitrary nature of the publishing industry, thus, the use of pornography and erotic as means of confrontation. This paper's inquiry is based on Massaud Moisé's work (2004) in order to understand how the mentioned allegories work and how they appear in Hilda Hilst's writing. Furthermore, the works of Moraes (2008) and Borges (2009) were also used to understand the transgressive and revolutionary aspect of Hilst's work, and to comprehend the construction of a meta narrative text in "Lori Lamby's Pink Notebook", attesting how it reflects the author's own relationship with the publishing industry.
