A percepção de justiça pelo olhar de mulheres em situação de violência doméstica no município de João Pessoa – Paraíba

Abstract

This dissertation was developed through data collection with women in situations of domestic violence in the city of João Pessoa, Paraíba, having as location the Ednalva Bezerra Women's Reference Center (CRMEB), aiming to analyze whether the perceptions of justice required by women in such situation are the same as those provided by the Judiciary, reflecting on issues related to gender and feminist movements, as well as traditional, critical and feminist criminology, in addition to violence against women and the Public Policies formulated in such scenario , also analyzing how the laws for this confrontation (in particular the Maria da Penha Law) have materialized in the daily lives of women who experience or have experienced such a situation, as well as whether or not they have facilitated access to justice from the perspective of such subjects, indicating the difficulties presented in the procedural and institutional path of such search, either through the very there was bureaucracy inherent in legal practices, due to the moral production attributed to the culture of the Judiciary or the lack of exercise of citizenship by women who are in such a context. Regarding the methodological path, this is of a qualitative nature, carried out from a critical sociological approach and with the use of participant observation, as well as bibliographic and documentary analysis, in addition to conducting 10 (ten) semi-structured interviews with the women who attend the service at CRMEB, the inclusion criteria being availability, agreement to participate in the research and the previous existence of access to the judicial network (which for this dissertation is based on admission to the Police Station, Specialized Police Station for Women, Public Defender, Public Prosecutor's Office, Criminal Court or Special Criminal Court) so that, based on the knowledge of the specifics of the cases, it is possible to understand the set of social processes involved in this theme, as well as the advances and challenges faced with regard to access to justice.
