Cineclube e leitura: a implementação da Lei 13.006/2014 no Projeto Lá Li Gibi

Abstract

This work results from the interest in problematizing reading and the factors that involve the formation of readers in Brazil. That said, we discuss literacy policies from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day and we question why, even after a century of attempts to universalize school education in the country, we continue to live under the shadow of high illiteracy rates. We understand that the library is a mediator of reading situations and we present indicators that show that people are not very frequent with this equipment. Hence we asked: how to approach people from libraries? We react through the attempt to deconstruct the idea that the library is limited to its physical space and plays the role of depositing books. For that, we highlight the itinerary of the Popular Library Riacho do Navio (BPRN) and its attempt to be in the places occupied by non-readers. We associate the awakening of the taste for reading with artistic expressions such as literature (6th art), cinema (7th art) and Comics (9th art), a prognosis that supported the creation of the Lá Li Gibi project. Faced with the issues listed, we discussed the importance of cinema in school (through the action of the film) and the implementation of law 13.006 / 2014 in this project. This law directs schools of basic education throughout the country to exhibit at least two hours / month of Brazilian films. Thus, we understand that the access of popular majorities to Brazilian artistic and cultural production through school pedagogical proposals fosters the critical understanding of literacy, reading and the library, thus provoking an understanding of reality. Therefore, our general objective is to situate the problem of reading incipience in Brazil. Specifically we aim to: I- Understand the limits of the process of developing the habit of reading in Brazil and the reach of libraries; II - To relate the scope of the action filmmaker for the training of the subjects readers. Our reflection was based on the Marxian dialectical perspective, in which the phenomena of society are transformed by the actions of men and, therefore, only they, conscious, can act to overcome the established social inequalities.
