Abstract

Propose to analyze the Permanent Archive of the City Hall of Araruna-PB, through a diagnosis, in order to identify its operation, to obtain subsidies for the purpose of implementing a Document Management Policy, to guarantee access to the information contained therein Guarded The application of the diagnosis aims to raise the situation of the documentary collection produced by the city and, from the results, propose solutions that can help the people working in the archive to obtain more productivity in their work, control and organization on Your professional life. This is an exploratory and descriptive research for describing the reality found in the Municipal Public Archive of Araruna. It uses the method of active observation research, considering that the researcher acts in the researched environment. The approach is qualitative for the analysis of the results, in view of the application of the diagnostic sheet indicated by Conarq for municipal public archives. The results indicate that the documentary stock needs all the technical stages that make up the documentary management; Training of the servers to better serve users and basic concepts of preservation and preservation of documents. Finally, we can infer that the implementation of a document management policy in the archive studied is necessary and urgent.
