Contribuições da disciplina Competência em Informação (COINFO) para a Arquivologia: uma perspectiva multidimensional

Abstract

Based on the premise that the subjects and organizations are considered competent to make effective use of information, the relevance of informational competence for socioeconomic development and the demands of citizenship is understood. In this context, Archivology is a scientific and professional area constantly called upon regarding the lack of resources for access, use, evaluation and communication of information, aiming at a more critical look, whether in the personal or organizational scope. Such contextualization serves as a basis for some definitions of Information Competence and increased possibilities in this relationship with Archivology. Thus, this study had as main objective: to map the theme Competence in Information (CoInfo) in the bibliographic production of Archivology, as well as highlight its context of production and reflect on the framing of bibliographic production in the dimensions that characterize CoInfo according to Vitorino and Piantola (2011). In this framework, the qualitative methodology adopted in this study comprises the review of the literature and bibliographic research in the Reference Database of Articles of Journals in Information Science (BRAPCI) and in the Scientific Open Access Repositories of Portugal (RCAAP), with the limit the scientific production published between 2012 and 2020. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that the investigation on the theme CoInfo in the scope of Archivology is an evident contribution of a triad, in relation, Archivology - Librarianship - Information Science, considering the common interest of scientific areas in meeting the demands arising from the contemporary informational context. In this context, the results reveal a more expressive bibliographic production with regard to the indispensability of an academic-scientific formation focused on the development of CoInfo and the desired profile of the professional archivist in a critical perspective, collaborating, in addition, to strengthen Archivology.
