Concepções dos estudantes da ONG CEFEC sobre as aulas de teoria musical.

Abstract

This course completion work investigates the conceptions of students of the NGO -Community Educational Training Center (CEFEC) about music theory classes. The general objective was to understand the students conceptions in relation to the music theory classes developed at the NGO CEFEC. The specific objectives are: To identify the profile (gender, age group and educational level) of the participants; describe the relationships that students have with music;identify interest and participation in music theory classes; to verify the relationship of music theory classes and the practice experienced by the students. The research was qualitative, using questionnaires with open and closed questions as data collection technique. The results indicate that the students' expectations regarding music theory have been met. They show, concerning their longings, that their favorite musical genres and musical practices are contemplated in the activities of musical theory, given the diversity found, aggregating concepts related to musical theory relevant to the production of musical knowledge, including the articulation with practical classes of musical instrument.
