Abstract

This course completion work carried out a study on the challenges experienced by Quilombola Ipiranga Education educators, describing the challenges faced as a space of resistance and conquest in the rural environment, seeking to emphasize the trajectory of Quilombola teaching, their struggles in search of a better education. aimed at rescuing and resisting Afro-Brazilian roots, respecting the specificities and identity of the black quilombola. The aim of our study was to describe the difficulties faced in quilombola education at the José Albino Pimentel Municipal School of Early Childhood and Elementary Education (EMEIEF) and the possible achievements that favored the educational process of the quilombo in rural areas. As for the methodology, we selected descriptive, bibliographical and field research. We observed and recorded the data in each meeting held at the school. We built a questionnaire/script to conduct the interview with the school's teachers. As a result, it was possible to observe that the difficulties faced by the educational institution today are diverse; starting with the physical structure, where the space suffers from political neglect, and is notoriously deteriorated, which usually happens because they are located in rural areas, suffer from precariousness, with the forgetfulness of rulers; in addition to the structure, the demotivation of teachers in the face of the reality they experience, in addition to professional training that does not match the cultural reality of the quilombola community, are some of the issues experienced by the school.
