Elos pedagógicos da educação do campo e teologia da libertação: possíveis aproximações

Abstract

The research, entitled Pedagogical Links of Field Education and Liberation Theology: Possible Contributions, seeks to situate the historical context of Field Education with Liberation Theology, which contributed so much to the formation of rural social movements. The general objective of this research was to identify the contributions of this religious movement in Field Education, seeking to present the historical context that contributed to the birth of Liberation Theology, emphasize the performance of religious movements, CEBs (Base Ecclesial Communities) and CPT (Pastoral Commision of land) together with rural social movements, especially the MST (Landless movement). And analyze the possible pedagogical links between Field Education and Liberation Theology. We selected descriptive and bibliographical research with a qualitative approach as our methodological process. We divided our study into three moments: in the first, we contextualize the role of the Church in the Latin American continent and the birth of Liberation Theology. In the second, we show the influence of Liberation Theology in rural social movements and finally, through bibliographical analysis, we searched for elements that approximate Liberation Theology with the pedagogical practices of Field Education. In this way, the motivating and mobilizing strength found in the pastoral actions of the Theology of Liberation are perceived in the pedagogical practices of Field Education when it rescues the human being from the alienating conditions that are present in capitalist society.
