Atuação do profissional bibliotecário frente à disseminação de Fake News na Web

Abstract

The intense amount of information is an event derived from the 21st century, but the creation and dissemination of false information is not. In this context, the information society is related to the production of fake news contributing to disinformation on a large scale. Due to the fact that information is directly linked to the object of work of librarians, this research relates fake news with emphasis on virtual environments, clarifying their new skills and behaviors. As a general objective, it proposed to analyzethe librarian's informational competencies from the perspective of fake news in virtual spaces and to identify mechanisms capable of contributing to the fight against fake news. The methodology is characterized as a bibliographical and exploratory study. It concludes by addressing some resources that may help the librarian in the fight againstfake news.
