Ead no ensino médio: um estudo considerando as ofertas existentes

Abstract

The present work discusses some aspects related to the presence of teaching and learning technologies, with special emphasis on distance learning in high school. EaD is the acronym for distance learning, it represents the teaching modality that takes place in a virtual environment, that is, without the need for physical presence in an educational institution for the teaching and learning process (MOORE, KEARSLEY, 2013). This teaching can occur synchronously, where the sender and receiver must be in sync, both interacting, as well as asynchronously, where communication does not occur in real time. Although in recent years it has been widely applied at some levels of education , such as technological courses, postgraduate courses and higher education, in other education segments, such as elementary and high school, there are not many offers. However, by the BNCC, secondary education could also be offered by adopting this modality. This work intends to understand how distance education is being offered in high school. For this understanding, we adopted research on the internet in seach of some institutions that offer high school in this modality, analyzing these offers. The results demonstrated the need for an alternative model of Education, wich can be more flexible, being another option for students to complete high school in addition to the classroom, as well as demonstrating that public schools still do not have an adequate structure and not offer a necessary support for learners and educators.
