Sinfonia de conflito : um estudo sobre som, violência e perturbação.

Abstract

The study of sound and its effects on various societies is broad and is present within a field known as Sound Studies. Just like everything else, the sound phenomenon, whether from music or in other ways, also has harmful effects and can be harmful to people, to the point of creating victims. These problems are serious and the lack of importance for them reflects the lack of attention, especially in the Brazilian context, with sound in our lives. Even if this is something real and present, how has this type of work been done in the scientific world over recent times? The present work deals with a bibliographical study that analyzes the relationship between sound, violence and disturbance, demonstrating the existing dispersion of these studies among different areas, as well as some limitationsin the area of music and musical education. Furthermore, a detailed study will be presented of which areas are addressing this issue and which reflections, gaps and projections are possible based on the analysis of the authors and works present on this topic.
