A leitura em sala de aula: a experiência de uma escola municipal de São José da Lagoa Tapada/PB

Abstract

The present monographic work is entitled "Reading in the classroom: The experience of a municipal school in São José da Lagoa Tapada / PB". Its importance is to contribute in the reflection on the importance of the act of reading, because the problem in focus is the reading in the classroom. Therefore, it had as general objective to analyze the causes of the lack of interest in the reading of the students of the initial years, in order to better understand why they are not interested in reading. As a theoretical basis for the discussions of the main research questions, we use the following authors: Saviani (1986), Freire (1985), Solé (1998). In this sense, the research used was the field research, of qualitative character, we used the questionnaire with teachers from the Iraci Pereira de Sousa Municipal School of Primary Education, in the city of São José da Lagoa Tapada / PB, in order to approach this school reality, regarding the theme of reading in the classroom. We conclude with this research that the faculty now questioned showed an interest in encouraging the habit of reading in the students, seeking all possible means so that they could read and understand. However, we still perceive the students' lack of interest, but we can not deny that there are several factors that lead to this, such as: the environment where the child is inserted, many do not have access to the means by which they can interact with reading at home, many children do not have parental support, unfortunately, many of them only have the school as a space to develop reading.
