O caminho místico da Kabbalah: um estudo comparativo entre Dion Fortune, Halevi e Scholem

Abstract

This study's main objective was to analyze and compare a critical theory with two mysticalesoteric theories. Our analyses are supported by three authors who address the scientificmystical-esoteric universe known as Kabbalah. To this end, we sought to expose the central essence of the thought of Scholem, Dion Fortune, and Halevi. In this sense, we will seek to present the interpretation of three conceptual symbols found in the most esoteric core of Kabbalistic thought: that which is hidden, the sephiroth, and the three veils of existence. For this journey, our methodological procedure is quantitative, as it is through it that we will establish both a hermeneutical path and an analytical reading regarding how knowledge can be born from nothing; in counterpoint to scientific knowledge. This work is divided into three chapters: the first will be responsible for presenting the explanations of the philosopher, historian, and Religious Studies Scholar Gershom Scholem on Kabbalistic science. The second chapter will present the Kabbalistic mystic, as well as the meaning of the sephiroth contained in the work The Mystical Qabalah. Our third and final chapter addresses the work The Tree of Life (Kabbalah), with an emphasis on the symbol of the three veils of negative existence. In summary, our readings aimed to establish a contemporary, critical, and scientific perception of the phenomenon enclosed in the symbol of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life.
