| Resumo: | O objetivo principal desta pesquisa é interpretar os aspectos do movimento cultural da street art, mais especificamente o pixo e o graffiti, enfocando a produção de resistência política afrocentrada através da arte e as perspectivas dos artistas negros que a praticam e a observam no centro histórico do Recife, — sendo eles Abròs, Luther, Mosca LDT e Nathê. Para tanto, a pesquisa iniciou-se com uma etnografia do contexto urbano do centro histórico do Recife, buscando identificar e analisar as obras desses artistas. Utilizou-se a metodologia da afrocentricidade, reunindo e dando visibilidade as obras dos artistas negros e realizando entrevistas semi-estruturadas para compreendê-las. Além disso, foram utilizadas outras fontes históricas e contribuições de intelectuais negros para fundamentar uma narrativa que demonstra a relação entre arte e política, memória e consciência. Assim, apresentando uma história social e política da resistência e identidade negra no movimento contemporâneo da arte de rua no centro histórico do Recife. |
| Abstract: | The main objective of this research is to interpret aspects of the cultural movement of street art, more specifically pixo and graffiti, focusing on the production of Afro- centered political resistance through art and the perspectives of black artists who practice and observe it in the historic center of the city. Recife, — being Abròs, Luther, Mosca LDT and Nathê. To this end, the research began with an ethnography of the urban context of the historic center of Recife, seeking to identify and analyze the works of these artists. The Afrocentricity methodology was used, bringing together and giving visibility to the works of black artists and carrying out semi-structured interviews to understand them. Furthermore, other historical sources and contributions from black intellectuals were used to support a narrative that demonstrates the relationship between art and politics, memory and consciousness. Thus, presenting a social history of resistance and black identity in the contemporary street art movement in the historic center of Recife. |
