A inserção dos alunos advindos da educação de jovens e adultos no curso de Pedagogia da UFPB

Abstract

This paper presents an analysis regarding the inclusion of students coming of Education Youth and Adults (EJA) in higher education, specifically in the School of Education of the Federal University of Paraiba (UFPB). The objective of this work was to know the profile of those students seeking to understand the historical trajectories of these subjects that have marks of social exclusion. Considering these objectives, it is timely to examine the expansion of higher education and public policy access and retention in higher education proposed in the Government Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (Lula). Analyzing these policies it is possible to understand the of the contributions that they made possible the educational system and in society. Thus, it is pertinent to review about these actions in UFPB, aiming to understand the changes that they made possible the lives of these individuals, making them able to push the boundaries of social exclusion and enter higher education. Therefore, it is appropriate to an analysis on the historical trajectory of UFPB, highlighting the work that implemented policies enabled the subject to completion of the course, the trajectory of the School of Education in Brazil and UFPB, and its present structure. Finally, the presentation of results of research conducted with students coming from the EJA in the course of Pedagogy UFPB, Campus I, João Pessoa.
