O caminho do sertão: uma experiência de educação popular e promoção do direito humano à literatura

Abstract

The present work reports the experience of walking, in a crossing that was carried out by the high backwoods of Minas Gerais, in participation in the third edition of the project "O Caminho do Sertão - De Sagarana ao grande Sertão Veredas". Traveling about 180 km for seven days, leaving the district of Sagarana, in the municipality of Arinos - Minas Gerais, and arriving at the city of Chapada Gaúcha, in the same state, making part of the way realized by Riobaldo in his narratives – character of the book Sertão Veredas by Guimarães Rosa, opportunizing to reflect the identity of the pedagogue outside the academic walls and, above all, an experience of walking that articulated reflection and learning mediated by literature, narratives, discursive and ideological formations, in the end, in its complex structure existing in the socio-eco-literary route. Starting from this context, the central object of this work is to report my immersion in this experience, as well as to accomplish a critical reflection on the process of popular education and the right to literature inserted and experienced in this project. We used the bibliographic descriptive method and, for theoretical support, we used Labucci and Gros, who contribute their philosophical reflections on the act of walking, Brandão, Freire, Melo Neto and other theorists who talks about Popular Education and other themes that add this discussion, and even more Candido and Llosa that add with contributions about the human right to literature. Describing my pathway to this work provided me with the understanding of the Caminhos do Sertão as a pedagogical experience that promotes popular education and the right to literature in the highlands of the Sertão of Minas Gerais, creating dialogues and emancipatory reflections for all the public involved in the project.
