Um estudo sobre a influência do estágio extracurricular na escolha da área do profissional contábil na Paraíba

Abstract

The experience of the extracurricular internship can contribute to the growth and improvement of graduates in accounting practices, becoming a way for the student to learn what is exposed to him in theory. In these circumstances, the present research had the general objective of investigating the perception of the graduate of Accounting Sciences from a federal institution of higher education in Paraíba about the influence of the experience in the extracurricular internship in the choice of his professional area. The research is classified as descriptive, with a quantitative approach, and data collection was carried out through a questionnaire, sent via email to the 42 students who qualified to answer, obtaining a sample of 23 students. The results obtained showed that, according to the respondent's egress, the extracurricular internship is a complement to classroom learning, in addition to opening possibilities for the acquisition of professional experience, contributing to academic and professional training. It is concluded that, according to the respondents' perception, the extracurricular internship influenced the professional career through the accumulation of experience to work in the profession, and the perception of the investigated about the extent of this influence in the choice of the professional practice area is not a peaceful point.
