O paradigma da neutralidade religiosa no Estado sobre o prisma da filosofia de Herman Dooyeweerd

Abstract

The reality of a hegemonic social context that relates laicity with the existence of immanent theoretical foundations raises questions about how these foundations are capable of constitute a true religious neutrality. Thus, the objective of this work is to investigate a religious root in theoretical thought and its consequences in the analysis of the modern State through the considerations of the Dutch philosopher Herman Dooyeweerd. Therefore, the research is classified as predominantly bibliographic, with a historical-comparative approach, whose identification of historical references is essential for understanding the issues that raised, especially because what is observed over time is the existence of central reasons that moves the understanding of the world and life. Finally, it is concluded that the understanding of the last assumptions directly impacts both theoretical thinking and the way in which the State is administered and understood, with the necessity to distinguish the role of government and church, as long as their existences it is involved of different structural objectives between them, despite the logical impossibility of the individuals who represent than always will be based on their own presuppositions.
