A Cultura Pop e seus reflexos no ensino-aprendizagem de Língua Inglesa

Abstract

Education has been going through a lot of crucial technological advances recently, especially in the last two years, in which most of the students could not attend a common classroom. Associating the use of these technologies through a common interest between learning and entertainment can generate a great improvement in knowledge of the English language. This paper looks to investigate through research, to demonstrate how Pop Culture can influence the English learning of new generations, such as Generation Z, and how it has influenced the learning of Millennials. The study is based on Ausubel's theory of Meaningful Learning (1982). It is researches based upon a quantitative approach and described character. 57 people aged between 11 and 41 were consulted through an online questionnaire. As a main result, 100% of the interviewees stated that Pop Culture maximized the learning of the English language.
