Uma abordagem da função quadrática

Abstract

The quadratic function is a content present in the lives of students from elementary school II to higher education, being important in studies in the areas of biology, physics and chemistry. The present work approaches a study of the polynomial function of the second degree, having as general objective to recognize the quadratic function, through the investigation in the representation of some of its forms, as well as to bring a little of the emergence of the quadratic function and some of its applications. This work was of a qualitative and exploratory nature, in which the deepening and strengthening of the content took place through a bibliographical review in articles, monographs, dissertations and research sites. In the first chapter, it addresses the theoretical foundation, with some ancient peoples who contributed to the studies of the quadratic function. In the second, we address the formality of the quadratic function and some consequences from the canonical form. In the third chapter, we bring some of the different applications that fall into the polynomial function of the second degree.
