Estrutura metodológica do livro didático de língua inglesa no Brasil e na Alemanha

Abstract

This article aims to comparatively analyse the methodological structure of English textbooks used in two different countries: Brazil and Germany. In this case, the comparative scientific method and the quantitative-qualitative approach were mobilized, with a predominance of the qualitative treatment of the data. In relation to the objectives, it is an exploratory and descriptive research, considering the analysis of textbooks. Therefore, it is characterized as a bibliographic research, based on the contributions of Paiva (2009), Tílio (2008) and Uphoff (2008); and documentary, since the corpus is composed of two textbooks chapters. The results revealed that there are significant differences in the methodological structure of the analysed books, highlighting the need for adjustments in the book used in Brazil, so that the student can better identify himself with the content and/or the book itself.
