APLICAÇÃO DA EDUCAÇÃO DOMICILIAR NO ENSINO BÁSICO COMO REPRESENTAÇÃO DA LIBERDADE EDUCACIONAL E AUTORIDADE DA FAMÍLIA

Abstract

The present work aims to analyze the growing number of families who have chosen to remove their children from school to educate them at home. Home education is undoubtedly a phenomenon in the country and in recent years the news of families that have become adept in this form of education have become very recurrent in the information vehicles, which has brought up the discussion about its constitutionality, legality and other aspects that are characteristic of it. The discussion gained more strength with the presentation of draft laws aimed at regulating home education with the aim of making families that already do so without being in "underground" and that those who have the necessary conditions, had the possibility of practicing it without the possibility of suffering reprisals by the State. It aims to analyze the rights of these families, relating their duty to educate with family authority that this work seeks to identify home education as a way for families to exercise their freedom and autonomy in educational choices for their children, understanding that this modality does not seek to restrict access to education, but to expand it.
