O BENEFÍCIO DE PRESTAÇÃO CONTINUADA COMO INSTRUMENTO DE COMBATE À POBREZA: UMA ANÁLISE BIBLIOGRÁFICA E LEGAL DAS MAIS RECENTES MODIFICAÇÕES NO CRITÉRIO DE RENDA

Abstract

The present study analyzes the impacts of recent modifications to the income criterion of the Continuous Cash Benefit (BPC), with a focus on Law 14,176/2021, which relaxed this criterion in the Organic Law of Social Assistance (LOAS). The research aims to assess the implications of these changes, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic, to determine whether there has been a significant increase in the number of beneficiaries and whether tangible advancements in social assistance policy have been observed. Employing a methodological approach that integrates literature review and document analysis, the study seeks to provide insights for the enhancement of social policies targeting the most vulnerable segments of the population.
