ACONTRIBUIÇÃO DALITERATURA CLÁSSICA NA FORMAÇÃODE JURISTAS: UM OLHAR INTERDISCIPLINAR

Abstract

The present work aims to explore the relevance of classical literature in legal education, demonstrating how the intersection between Law and Literature contributes to the formation of more well-rounded jurists, both in terms of legal reasoning and empathetic development. The research starts from the premise that literature offers not only a field for analyzing moral and ethical issues but also a pedagogical tool for improving the interpretative and rhetorical skills of legal professionals. The central research question examines how literature, by addressing moral, ethical, and complex narrative issues, can be used as a pedagogical tool to enhance the interpretative and rhetorical skills of future legal professionals. In this research, using the bibliographic method, we sought to investigate the relevance of classical literature in legal education, analyzing how the intersection between Law and Literature can contribute to the formation of more well-rounded jurists, both in critical reasoning and empathetic development. The analysis of literary works such as The Stranger by Albert Camus and Dom Casmurro by Machado de Assis demonstrated how the psychological construction of characters and narrative dilemmas provide a solid foundation for reflections on legal and human dilemmas. It was concluded that the inclusion of classical literature in the legal curriculum broadens the intellectual tools of law students, fostering a deeper understanding of the nuances that permeate justice and morality in society.
