Um olhar histórico sobre a educação inclusiva no Brasil: avanços e desafios

Abstract

This work deals with the history of inclusive education in Brazil, as well as its advances and challenges. Therefore, it is justified to seek to better understand the trajectory of inclusion, so that from this understanding we can have a new look that values and respects differences. This is a bibliographical research that has the following objectives: to verify the paradigms that guided inclusive education policies in Brazil, identifying the current laws that guide them, in addition to their challenges. To subsidize the work, we used the author Maria Tereza Mantoan (2003) as one of the main sources of readings, in addition to analyzing, among other laws, especially the Law of Guidelines and Bases (LDB 1996) and the Brazilian Law of Inclusion (LBI 2015 ). Considering the historical context and legislation on inclusive education, it is concluded that many advances have already been made and they were very significant. However, collaborative work is still necessary, especially in the educational field, which can actually welcome everyone, offering the same learning opportunities and without any type of prejudice, segregation or differentiation.
