Bullying não é brincadeira: conhecendo as experiências com o bullying de crianças do 5º ano de uma escola do campo

Abstract

This work is the result of research that had as its general objective to investigate the experiences of bullying among 5th grade children in the initial years of a Municipal School. The study had as its theoretical basis a discussion on Rural Education, educational legislation, school bullying and finally, a brief history of comic books (HQs) material used as a teaching resource. To this end, an exploratory research with a qualitative approach was carried out, using as methodological instruments participant observation, a conversation circle with the reading and discussion of the comic book “Bullying is not a joke”, the application of a questionnaire to the research subjects: 5th grade students, aged 10 to 14 years old, ending with the realization of a workshop for the production of comic books to raise awareness against bullying carried out by the students. In the presentation and analysis of the data, the information obtained from the questionnaires answered by the participating subjects was investigated, and it was found that bullying is a phenomenon present in everyday school life, identified and experienced by both girls and boys. Finally, the final considerations state that the objectives were achieved and that reflecting on how children see and experience bullying, talking to them about the topic, is fundamental to tackling this school problem.
